Who is Area WIRELESS?

Area WIRELESS is a member program managed by AREA Real Estate Services Corp., a subsidiary of the Alberta Real Estate Association, AREA. Since 2016, we’ve helped REALTORS® access competitive wireless plans, reliable support, and coverage that fits the way REALTORS® actually work.

Can I keep my phone number?

Yes. You can keep your current phone number when you switch to Area WIRELESS. Do not cancel your current service first — your number needs to stay active while we help move it over. Or if you would like a new phone number we can also accommodate that.

I’m already with Rogers. Can I still join?

Yes, the process can depend on your current Rogers account type, plan, device, and whether you have an existing device balance. Contact our team before making changes and we’ll confirm the best way to switch.

Is there a contract?

No. Area WIRELESS plans are month-to-month, so you are not locked into a long-term wireless service contract.

If you bring your own device, you can cancel your wireless plan without a device balance. If you finance a device through Area WIRELESS, you are responsible for any remaining device balance if you cancel before the device is fully paid off.

Can I add additional lines?

Yes. You can add additional lines to your Area WIRELESS account. Contact our team to help you select the best options and get the lines set up on your account.

How does billing work?

Area WIRELESS billing runs monthly from the 4th of the month to the 3rd of the following month. You’ll receive a monthly invoice from Area WIRELESS for your wireless plan, add-ons, applicable taxes, usage-based charges, and any device financing on your account.

Your invoice is automatically charged to the credit card on file, so a valid credit card must be maintained on your account. If you have questions about your invoice, payment, plan charges, or device balance, our team is here to help.

What plan features are included?

Area WIRELESS plans include:

  • No contract
  • No setup fees
  • No SIM or eSIM costs
  • Canada, U.S., and Mexico coverage is included on every plan — at no added cost and with no time limit. You won't get hit with roaming charges or daily travel fees when you cross the border. (Our $75 plan includes coverage in 64 destinations worldwide.)
  • 2,500 minutes of call forwarding per billing cycle
  • Call Display and Name Display
  • Call Waiting and Conference Calling
  • VoLTE
  • Wi-Fi Calling on compatible devices
  • Enhanced Voicemail and Visual Voicemail on applicable devices
  • Rogers Satellite-to-Mobile texting at $0/month where available and supported on compatible devices
  • Real team, available to you via, phone and text, no carrier cues

*All plans include a set amount of max-speed data per billing cycle, based on your selected plan. If you exceed all of your max-speed data, your data speeds are reduced until your next billing cycle.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. Area WIRELESS does not charge setup fees, activation fees, or SIM/eSIM fees. Your monthly invoice includes your plan, applicable taxes, the required 911 fee, and any device financing or optional add-ons you choose.

Extra charges only apply if you add services, finance a device, or use features outside your plan, such as roaming outside included destinations, international long distance, premium texts, or special services.
